The problem with credential expiration
3 AM pages
An expired SSL certificate takes down your client's site — and your phone won't stop ringing.
Failed integrations
A rotated API key breaks a critical sync. Nobody knew it was expiring because it was tracked in a spreadsheet.
Audit findings
Compliance review reveals untracked service accounts with passwords unchanged for over a year.

Frequently Asked Questions
What exactly does CredClock store?
Only labels (e.g., "AWS Prod API Key"), credential types, expiration dates, reminder preferences, and optional notes. We never store actual passwords, API keys, certificates, or any secret values. There is nothing sensitive to steal.
How is this different from a password manager?
Password managers store your actual credentials. CredClock only tracks when they expire. Use your vault for secrets, use CredClock for expiration visibility. They're complementary — not competing.
Can I import my existing credential list?
Yes. Upload a CSV file with columns for Label, Expiration Date, Type, and Notes. CredClock will import them in bulk. You can also export your data as CSV at any time.
How do reminders work?
You set how many days before expiration you want to be reminded (e.g., 7 days, 14 days). CredClock checks daily and sends email alerts when credentials are within your reminder window. You can also send reminders to a shared inbox for public credentials.
Can I manage multiple clients?
Yes. Create a separate organization for each client under your account. Each org has its own credentials, team members, and history. Switch between them instantly from the nav bar.
What happens if I cancel my subscription?
Your data is never deleted. You keep access until the end of your billing period. After that, you're downgraded to the Free plan — your oldest 25 credentials stay fully active, and everything else becomes read-only. Resubscribe anytime to restore full access.
Is there an API?
Yes, on Business and Enterprise plans. The REST API supports full CRUD on credentials with token-based authentication. Create, read, update, and delete credentials programmatically for automation and integration with your existing tools.
Do you support Slack or Microsoft Teams?
Yes, on Business and Enterprise plans. Configure webhook URLs for your Slack channels or Teams rooms, and CredClock will send grouped expiration notifications alongside the email reminders.
Can team members see each other's credentials?
Only if they're marked as public. When you create a credential, you choose whether it's public (visible to all org members) or private (visible only to you). Private credentials are completely hidden from other users.
How secure is CredClock?
Very. All connections are encrypted via TLS/SSL. Passwords are hashed with scrypt. We enforce CSRF protection, rate limiting, Content Security Policy headers, and session security. Since we don't store any actual secrets, there's nothing sensitive to breach even in a worst-case scenario. See our Security page for details.
