Terms of Service

Last updated: March 16, 2026

The short version: CredClock tracks credential expiration dates and sends reminders. Don't put actual secrets in it. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we're not liable if you miss a renewal.

Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using CredClock, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service Description

CredClock is a credential expiration tracking and reminder service. It stores labels, types, and expiration dates for your credentials and sends email notifications before they expire. CredClock does not store actual passwords, API keys, certificates, or any secret credential values.

Your Account

  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
  • One person or legal entity per account — accounts cannot be shared

Acceptable Use

  • Do not enter actual passwords, API keys, or secrets into any CredClock field
  • Do not use CredClock for any unlawful purpose
  • Do not attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
  • Do not abuse the API or exceed reasonable rate limits
  • You are responsible for acting on expiration reminders in a timely manner

Subscriptions & Billing

  • Free accounts have limited features and credential counts as described on our pricing page
  • Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time — access continues until the end of the billing period
  • After cancellation, your account is downgraded to the Free plan. Your data is preserved but features beyond Free limits become read-only
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

Data Ownership

You own your data. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the information you store in CredClock. You can export your data as CSV at any time. If you delete your account, your data is permanently removed.

Service Availability

We strive to keep CredClock available 24/7, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any damages resulting from service downtime.

Limitation of Liability

CredClock is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We are not responsible for:

  • Losses or damages resulting from expired credentials
  • Missed or delayed reminder notifications
  • Outages caused by third-party services
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for CredClock in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@credclock.com.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of CredClock after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state in which the service operator resides.
